hey mike
certainly, this is something to keep in mind. however, knowing you, i know that the idea was not just to get one book in print, but to, in fact, have that career. and lets face t, you not only have one novel in print, but is it 5 stories now? not only that, but you have one other novel pretty close to being finished (poseidon) or at leadt through a couple drafts, and another one in the works (shadows on the cinema wall). correct?
i would actuall;y say you are probably close to being a template for how to have that career. keep going, mike. you have a great beginning. i think you will only grow stronger from here!

Good article, with some great advice. Hang in there, Mike--I know people who shopped 3 or 4 books without success, then hit it big with the next one. Keep writing, keep learning, keep getting it out there.
Hey--can you make the next local WOoGI (Writers Of Genre fiction, Indiana) meeting? Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 7 pm in the Clearwater B&N. It'd be great to see you there.
Take care, Marlys

I really didn't post the article for me. More of an informational piece for the writing members of the board. I have no intentions of stopping with just one novel. Poseidon's Children is in fact done and with Leisure. I'm working on 2 other novels, Shadows on the Cinema Wall and Offerings, and I will also have enough short stories soon for a collection of my own work. So, yeah, not my plan at all. It is the night after our Indiana Horror Writers meeting, however, so I will have to see if I can handle two meetings two nights in a row.

Well, if you're not too burned out, it's tonight at 7. Last time there were 3 of us, talking about what we were working on and trying to set goals for the next month. Hope to see you!
