It's that time of year again! As you all may remember, my short story "Goodnight" was named Best Horror Short Story of 2005 in the P&E Readers Poll last year. Well, the poll is up and running again, and my story "Jiki" from City Slab magazine is in the mix! To vote for me and my tale, follow the link below: www.critters.org/predpoll/shortstoryh.shtmlIt's alphabetical by title, so just fill in the blank next to "Jiki" and post your vote. You will then get an email to confirm your vote. This is very important, as unconfirmed votes will not count! You can vote once per email address, so please, no ballot stuffing. Thank you all in advance for your support! I could not have won last year without you. ;D To check the results, you can go here: www.critters.org/predpoll/tally.html

Well, as of this moment, "Jiki" has slipped down to #7. I think people may be under the mistaken impression (because they never changed the dates on the site) that voting is over. Actually, because they did not get the site up and running until Jan. 10, voting goes on until the end of the month. Oh well, at least I'm getting beat by one of our own: "The White Death," boardmember Debbie Kuhn's story from the last issue of Wicked Karnival, is now at #4. Good luck, Debbie! ;D Also, "Jiki" is still in the running for a Bram Stoker Award! For more info/updates on that race, keep checking the link below: bymichaelwest.proboards49.com/index.cgi?board=updates&action=display&thread=1150882995

It appears "Jiki" has finished in the Top 10 on the P&E Readers Poll. The results will be final in a few weeks. I'll keep you all posted. ;D
