I really think that Dean Koontz' "The Bad Place" would make for a wonderful movie. The newer forward in the paperback stated that just after "The Bad Place" was released, Hollywood wanted to bring it to the big screen. But it didn't' happen. I believe the story could make for a gripping suspenseful movie.
So dear BMW member, what book would you like to be adapted to film?

MEG by Steve Alten I think all the cheapo Shark Attack movies on Sci-Fi have killed it, however.

I believe I've stated this elsewhere, but I'll do it again. We need a full blown, full length movie adaptation of Stephen King's "The Mist". The short story from "Skeleton Crew". THIS would make for a wonderful movie!!!!

I'm so with you on that one, Pus! "The Mist" would be an incredible film. Don't know what they would do about that ending though.

I'd like to see Richard Laymon's The Traveling Vampire Show become a movie. It could be like a cooler version of Stand By Me--which I like. Another one in the same vain would be Brian Keene's Ghoul.

I have always been a fan of movies with several stories in them like trillogy of terror. so i would like to see Briane Keenes Fear Of Gravity made. The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, and Rosemadder.

I would like to see J. F. Gonzalez's Survivor as a movie. Might be lumped in with the "torture porn" sub-genre, however, which is dead at the moment.

don't know if this counts, but I would love Clive Barker to write a sequel to Cabal and then make the film.

I always thought Night Stone by Rick Hautula seemed like it would make a cool movie.
At one point Del Toro was going to make a short film to be part of an anthology based off of Ramsey Campbell's short story Down There, which would have been Awesome!! Unfortunately it lost it's funding.
