hey mike!
i have just started reading "haunted" by chuck "fight club" pahlaniuk. i waited for months for it to come out in paperback. i have read most of his stuff, and to be honest, his "smarft ass" style chafes on me...but this one sounded really intriguing. i dove in and have read several chapters... it seems to be shaping up to be less of a horror story than it had promised, and of course, it is written in his "look at me, i'm a satirist" forced pose that serves to distance and confuse the reader. if the author can be said to be a character in his own story, pahlaniuk does his best to make the audience dslike him...
BUT the yarns are pretty interesting, as ideas...just woindering of anyone else was interested, this being a group of people who, ostensibly al least, like to read this type of story. so...anyone else familiar w/this one?

I know of it, but I haven't read it. I didn't really like his style in Fight Club either. Much better film than book. At least, that's how I felt. When you finish this one, you'll have to let me know if it's worth my time.
I'd recommend a book called Berserk by Tim Lebbon. Best novel I've read in a while.
