As some of my faithful readers may know, I am currently writing a new novel. Plot details must remain a secret for now, but the tentative title is Shadows on the Cinema Wall, and it is a ghost story. At any rate, since World Horror in Toronto, I get emails and messages asking me how it is going. Well, in this thread, I'll keep you up to date on the progress. My goal is to have the novel done by September. To do that, I'll need to put 15k words on paper each month. In April, I hit that mark. For May, I'm cutting it close, but I still have four more days. Keep checking this thread, faithful readers, and I'll keep you up to date every step of the way.

Well, faithful readers, another month has passed and I'm still typing away. I now have a little over thirty thousand words, so I'm right on target. ;D Those of you who've read The Wide Game will be pleased to know that a familiar face has just stepped into the story to help our main characters out. How much help will they be? That remains to be seen. Guess I better get back to my laptop. By the end of June, I hope to have forty-five thousand words, a little over half done. Keep your fingers crossed, faithful readers, and I will keep you posted.

Sorry I didn't keep this up on a monthly basis, but the novel is done. ;D There has been a name change. Now it goes under the title of Cinema of Shadows. (Thanks to Alethea Kontis and Chesya Burke for getting me to shorten the title. ) Did a line edit with the help of IHW member Sara Larson and mailed it all off to the publisher. Now I wait. I will, of course, keep you posted.
