I thoroughly recommend The Percolated Stars by Rhys Hughes (if you can get your hands on a copy) from Razorblade Press.
Wonderful book.

I just started reading "Inside the Insane...And other pieces of horror" By Paul Campbell
I'm only about 15 pages in. It was sent to me by the author to do a review for my site. So far it's pretty good, It's a collection of wierd tales dealing with ofcourse crazy people.
I'll post a full review here and on my site when done ;D

This has been the "Summer of Koonz" for me this year. We had a used booksale last winter for local flood victims here in WV and I picked up most every book Dean Koontz wrote for 50 cents a piece. Bonus! So far this summer I've read The Bad Place, Strangers, Watchers, Darkfall, Phantoms, Whispers, The Mask, Odd Thomas and am currently reading From the Corner of His Eye.

Im real bad about reading 2 or 3 at once. Elfstones of the Shanara by Terry Brookes with intermittent showers of Stephen King Everythings Eventual.

That's a wicked deal for sure. I'd be curious to know what you think of From The Corner... that is one of my favourate books. Dragon Tears was very good as well. Weird, but very good.

Finished "From The Corner Of His Eye" last night. And you are absolutely right, it was a very strange, but wonderful read. One of my only complaints concerning Dean Koontz though is that sometimes he goes overboard on his descriptions. I find myself skipping paragraphs to get to the action. Not a good thing for a constant reader.
My favorites, so far this summer, have been "The Bad Place", which would make for a wonderful movie, and "Odd Thomas". I thought "Odd Thomas" to be Koontz' best that I've read thus far.

I just finished Grave's End by Elaine (I think) Mercado. It's non-fiction, and while I can't say it's the most well-written book I've read, the story is muy freaky. Haunted house built on graves and such. Sat down to read the first chapter while my husband was studying and read the whole damn thing without even getting up to go to the bathroom. Highly, highly recommended. Been a long time since a book has scared me.
